Mata Hari Magazine'imizin yeni sayısı için gün sayıyorduk, artık elimizde! Bu kez Waris Dirie yol açtı, ışık oldu. Bunca kadın şiddeti, kadın cinayetleri, tecavüzler söz konusuyken böyle örnek bir kadın ve kadın sünneti ile ilgili yarattığı farkındalığa değinmesek olmazdı. Yine bomba gibi bir sayı oldu. Ben de ilk birkaç sayfasını paylaşmak istedim; ama her zaman için mecmua dediğin dokununca, elinde hissedince güzel. Yine de eline ulaşamayanlar için hizmet sınırsız, matahari.com.tr 'ye girerek e-dergi haline ulaşabilirsiniz. İyi okumalar!

Saying Goodbye to Fall

I wanted to go to the campus today even though I didn't have a class. I miss there much more than before, since I will be an official graduate soon. Also, is there any place looking that beautiful in fall? It makes me feel like living in peace and sorrow at the same time. It takes me to the past and makes me feel good because I feel like I am in a place that I belong.

"it girl"

Bianca Jagger is my favorite woman on my daily dose of inspiration source list. She is the "it girl" of 1970's. I don't think that it is necessary to mention her being Mick Jagger's Wife, close friend of Andy Warhol, party girl of 1970's and an activist currently. I want to look and look again at her photos because of her natural and masculine style. Maybe just because of her sharp-cut face and cheekbones and her eyes. That's why I had many dilemmas about the photos that I had to give up when I posted here. God bless you Bianca Jagger!

Happy Birthday to My Brother!

Geçen akşam kardeşimin doğum günüydü. Hem ona mutlu yıllar post'u, hem outfit post'u, hem keyif post'u bu. Havalardan mı, bu ara dinlediğim / izlediğim / okuduğum şeylerden mi bilmem; ama hem siyah hem biraz film noir bir hava çöktü üzerime. Ayrıca Karaköy, iyi ki hayatımıza girdin... Dem (cafe), sen de iyi varsın. Bourbon Vanilla'lı çin çin!  

Last nite was my brother's birthday. Sweet 19 honey! This is a post to declare my outfit, my joy and my happy birthday wishes to my brother. :) I am in a dark mood, kind of film noir style. I am not sure if it is the surprising weather or the things that I've been watching / reading / listening recently. By the way, Thank God for bringing Karaköy into our lives! And Dem Cafe, as well. Cheers to everyone with a cup of Bourbon Vanilla!

Dark Side of the Jazz Nite

Sadece ve sadece kendine vakit ayırmak, yeni şeyler yapmak, gitmediğin yerlere gitmek... Bu haftasonu sevgilimle yaptığımız buydu. Jazz dinlemeyi çok sevip, İstanbul'da bu anlamda iyi mekanlara pek rastlayamayan bir çift olarak Milano Gourmet'teki Jazz gecesine koşarak gittik. Milano Gourmet'in şarküteri kısmı bir cennet; ama alt katına inmediyseniz çok şey kaçırmışsınızdır. Şarap mahzeni şeklindeki alt kat beni Orta Çağ'da yaşıyormuşum gibi hissettirdi. Bu sırada; İstanbul'da önerebileceğiniz jazz club'lar varsa lütfen paylaşın. :) Güzel haftalar! 

Sparing time just for yourself, doing something new, going places that you have never been in were all we did last weekend with my boyfriend. We literally run for the jazz night at Milano Gourmet as a couple who likes the jazz but can't find fine jazz clubs in the city. The first floor -deli floor- of Milano Gourmet is like heaven but If you haven't seen downstairs yet, you missed so much. When you go downstairs, wine cellar makes you feel like you are living in middle ages.

Oldies but Goldies

Klişe ama gerçek. Eski fotoğraflara bakınca içimi bir huzur kaplıyor. Hele bu fotoğraflarda baskın renk kırmızı ise. Hava karanlık, günlerden cuma, mumlar yanıyor. Mutsuz olabileceğim hiçbir şey yok. Bugünlerde aşırı bir huzur hakim üstüme. Her şeyden gerçekten mutlu olabilmek ne güzelmiş. Ben biraz önce -geçen hafta Mısır Çarşısı'ndan aldığım- bir fincan vanilya çayıyla çok mutlu ettim kendimi. Siz en son neyle ödüllendirdiniz, mutlu ettiniz kendinizi? 

Vintage photos gives me a peace of mind. It is such a cliche but it is true. Especially, if the dominant color is red. It is a dark friday. The candles are on fire. There is nothing to feel bad about. Lately, I live in a peaceful inner world of mine. It s felt so good to be really happy from little things. I've just made myself happy with a cup of vanilla tea that I bought from Spice Bazaar last week. What was the last thing that you made yourself happy with? 

Outfit #idonno

Canım bir outfit post'u yapmak istedi. Hem de geçen haftadan kalan fotoğraflarımla. Bir şeyi planlamadığın zaman hakikaten daha iyi olabiliyor; ama her zaman değil. Bazen desen üstüne desen seviyorum, bazen simsiyah. Mesela şu an bembeyaz giyinmek geliyor içimden. 

I wanted to make an outfit post with my old photos from last week. Sometimes, it is just better not to plan things but not every time, obviously. I'd sometimes like to wear pattern on pattern, but sometimes all black. For example, now wanted to wear white on white. 

Inspiration #idonno

It is just for fun and to get some inspiration. I need to be inspired this week more than ever but my mind just stopped. The pictures made my day today. If I can redecorate my home, I am gonna do this like in the photos. Have a nice sunday.

Overdose

Fotoğraf makinesinin karşısına geçip poz vermekten sıkıldım. Önceden profesyonel makina olsun, yoksa olmaz bir daha outfit post'u diye düşünüyordum; bu düşünceden de sıkıldım. Çünkü o olayın aldığı uzun çekimlerden de sıkıldım. Bilmiyorum; belki de tüm gardırobumdan bile sıkıldım; ama bunların hepsini yarın yine sevebilirim. Şimdilik poz vermeden, öylesine takılırken çekiyoruz. Blur, kayık, spontane fotoğraflar da favorilerim. - Ha, bir de artık erkek giyim reyonları benim için daha cezbedici xoxo-

I got bored of striking a pose in front of a camera. I got bored of the idea of not posting an outfit post unless there is a professional camera because I got bored of the long shooting hours required for an "actual" one. I don't know, maybe I even got bored of my wardrobe snd all of my clothes. The only thing I know is I may love them again, starting from tomorrow. For now, we are shooting without posing. Favs are blur, uncertain, spontaneous ones. -btw, menswear is more attractive for me recently-
